Commercial Construction Superintendent

Kalos Services is seeking a hands-on Commercial Construction Superintendent to lead and manage night shift operations on large-scale commercial construction projects. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in the field, enjoys solving problems on the ground, and takes pride in leading crews by example.

We're looking for someone who’s not just directing from a distance, but actively involved in the nightly workflow—setting up job sites, supporting crews, enforcing safety and quality standards, and ensuring productivity and project alignment from start to finish. Your presence on the jobsite will be critical to driving results and keeping work moving efficiently during overnight hours.

Job Type & Schedule

  • Overnight hours
  • This role requires flexibility to travel to various job sites as projects demand within FL and GA. While we strive to provide advance notice, you must be willing to relocate or travel as needed—flexibility and reliability are essential to success in this position.

Compensation

  • $75,000–90,000 annually

Responsibilities

  • Begin with an on-site inspection at 8:30 PM, leading the nightly setup process
  • Manage access control to gates, laydown areas, and Conex containers
  • Distribute job badges and conduct toolbox talks with team leads
  • Set clear expectations and assign nightly tasks based on scope of work
  • Walk the job site regularly to ensure safety, efficiency, and quality workmanship
  • Support the crew directly with basic tools, layout, measurements, and setup
  • Take and share progress photos via designated channels
  • Ensure end-of-shift reports and site cleanup protocols are followed
  • Oversee transition walkthroughs with the day shift superintendent
  • Attend customer or internal meetings as required
  • Be the go-to resource for problem-solving and crew support throughout the night
  • Any other duties as needed to ensure project success

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a Commercial Construction Foreman or Superintendent
  • Hands-on knowledge of basic tools, layout methods, construction sequencing, and nightly logistics
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications
  • Familiarity with steel erection, retrofits, and upfits is a plus—but leadership is key
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Proven ability to lead, teach, and motivate field teams
  • Proficient in using measurement tools and conducting take-offs
  • Basic computer/scheduling software skills
  • Familiarity with Orlando-area construction codes is a plus
  • Must be dependable, proactive, and committed to jobsite excellence
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to changing jobsite locations
